Webinar 2: Comprehensive genomic profiling and bioinformatics solutions
Date: 27 November 2023
Time: 16:00 – 17:30 CET
16:00 – 16:30 – New challenges in oncology diagnostics
MD, PhD Artur Kowalik – Professor at UJK in Kielce, is a specialist in medical laboratory genetics. He is Head of the Department of Molecular Diagnostics at the Świętokrzyskie Oncology Center in Kielce. He also works in the Department of Medical Biology at the Institute of Biology, Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. Her scientific interests include research on cancer biology using modern molecular biology methods such as NGS and the application of liquid biopsy in the diagnosis and monitoring of the effectiveness of cancer treatment. Scientific interests also include CART cell therapy or TILs.
16:30 – 17:00 – Comprehensive genomic profiling – a new powerful tool for agnostic therapies qualification
Dr n. med. Andrzej Tysarowski – Specialist in medical laboratory genetics, graduate of the MBA in health care. Awarded the Silver Cross of Merit for outstanding contributions to the development of oncology and health care. Member of the European Board of Medical Genetics. Since 2003, he has worked at the National Cancer Institute, where he heads the Department of Genetic and Molecular Cancer Diagnostics. Among other things, he is involved in the implementation of modern molecular biology techniques for oncology genetic diagnosis, particularly those based on NGS and liquid biopsy (ctDNA) testing. He is currently the coordinator for molecular diagnostic guidelines in the National Cancer Strategy. He is the author of many scientific papers, co-organizer of training conferences, molecular biology workshops of national and international scope, as well as the contractor of several research and clinical projects, among others NCN and ABM.
17:00 – 17:30 – Bioinformatics solutions from secondary to tertiary analysis – underrated support for clinicians
Tadeusz Kałużewski MD – President of the Management Board of Genos, clinical geneticist at the Genos Genetic Clinic and the Genetic Clinic of the Polish Mother’s Memorial Hospital – Research Institute, Member of the Polish Society of Human Genetics, the European Cytogenomic Society, the European Society of Human Genetics and the Polish Coalition of Personalized Medicine – Association
